Timur Bekmambetov is a Russian producer/director whose work spans genres and continents. He is the inventor of the new storytelling genre – Screenlife - and the founder of numerous Screenlife IT start-ups.
Bekmambetov’s Bazelevs Group, an advertising, film production, distribution and marketing company has offices in Moscow, Los-Angeles, Beijing, Nicosia and Almaty. Bazelevs explores and creates new film technology, including the latest cinematic technique, Screenlife.
Screenlife is an innovative digital language that tells a whole narrative within the frames of a screen. Actually, you are already using it every day.
In 2015 Bekmambetov produced the cyber horror Unfriended, where the narrative takes place on the laptop screens of several teenagers stalked by an unseen figure seeking vengeance. This first screenlife film grossed more than US$64 Mio with the production budget of just US$1 Mio.
Another Screenlife techno-thriller Searching won numerous prizes including the NEXT Audience Award at Sundance festival and grossed almost US$70 Mio in worldwide box office.
Bazelevs is continuously exploring options in software development and production of digital products for Screenlife, including video recording technology and post-production software solutions for creators of both feature length films and UGC digital video content.
Timur sees his mission in creation of software solutions that reflect today’s human behavior on the digital screen and improve our digital well-being.
At Cyprus IT Forum 2019 you will learn about the opportunities within Screenlife format. We invite you to collaborate and share the benefits.
